Nuclear rights and red lines

Yes, the iranian government flaunts the making of uranium, and uses it as propeganda, and they do have many enemies (particularly Israel and the U.S) which is a huge concern, but I think personally that they should be allowed to make uranium. They do realize the plus sides of it, and are using it to their benefit. And countries all around iran have nuclear weapons, and if they were to act, iran would have no way to retaliate, they would just be *poof* gone..mainly, if they were to develope nuclear weapons I think it would be fine as long as they were to engaged in a war. BUT use it only if necessary. I mean the people of iran do have a point. We used it against people before, so why shouldn't they be able to have the protection of nuclear weapons too? As for the redline, I would take action if they were developing nuclear weapons to use against an undefended nation, because, well it just wouldn't be fair. And I would keep a close eye in iran at all times.

cyberspace: silent protest, loud voices being heard around the world

the youths revolutions thrive on the social networking sites. They transfer dates and times of when protest will be carried out. They share information about the brutal government system they must live day to day with the world. Also, even if the youth are not using it to protest, they use it to meet lovers, and new acquaintances. Sites like these allow a break from the restrictive and controlling government/morals police. The Internet can't be controlled and viewed at all hours/minutes/seconds/ or maybe even years.  The social networking sites such as facebook and twitter would have never been shut down if the government didn't view them as a threat against their private way of life, there are many more users than government officials, and if all were to use it at once, i think they would be able to successfully gain access to any site they wanted. Technology as a whole allows access to the world, and fellow iranians. it helps to share day to day information, and it could possibly save lives. The internet plays major roles in protests, and politics, one day it could possibly over throw the government and lead the youth to a new way of life...the way they want it. They want a friendly relationship with the u.s? well if they were to successfully use the internet and overthrow their hardliner leader, i think that could happen:)

youth brought up post-revolution

I do not like the government, but I am proud of my own country and all that it does. I want my own independence, the right to wear what I want, and to have a democracy. But I DONT want to become westernized. The U.S.  is friendly and we should be allies with them, we don't want down with the u.s.a. We're sick of the Allyotolah and all that he does, and we want our own freedom on speech, we want to be able to do what normal teens do without the morals police chasing us around telling us we cant do it. The restiction is unbearable, and it only makes it harder for us to share our own opinions, but yet we still seek to do it. we rebel peacefully to gain what we want :)
